Tonelli traces most of his usual themes through the pastel technique: urban landscapes, countryside views, sea horizons. These subjects trace an inconography deeply rooted in his artistic career. The technique consists of a thin network of lines drawn from the tip of a pencil over a slight chromatic veil of pastel, giving rise to images of great charm, with extremely rarefied atmospheres, leading us into a metaphysical dimension that has always characterized his works.
