The poetics of this pictorial cycle by Arianna Matta runs on two tracks: on the one hand a social reflection on the impact of man on nature, on the other the urgency of representing more intimate and personal instances, from which a cathartic vision of nature arises.
The nature of the pictorial matter is free from a pre-established form; abstract backgrounds suggest vegetal forms, dense and liquid pictorial matter interact harmoniously in the same context, as do figurative and abstract expressions.
The presence of water, common to many of the paintings on display, recalls the concept of purification, of rebirth and, at the same time, of the feminine, referring to the primordial matrix of life.
About twenty paintings, small and large in size, will be on display, all of which will soon be visible on the exhibition page on our website
