Quaresima graduated from Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice in1988, and has dedicated himself to painting since that time. Quaresima began his artistic career focusing on human
subjects but, after a few years, he shifted his focus to objects, creating quite unusual and ironical compositions made of daily life tools, surprisingly able to tell the story of a human
subject, who seems to have just stepped out of the frame. Quaresima's paintings are highly defined and detailed, close to hyperrealism. Using the most traditional technique of oil painting, he creates an organic silence that springs from the relationship of continuity between painting and reality. Though human subjects are not represented in his compositions, they actually are part of the scene through the traces left on the objects. Quaresima tackles the difficult task of revealing that portion of poetry hidden in daily life.
